Woman and a Fork

Just Sharing...

Woman and a Fork

There was a young woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live. So as she was getting her things 'in order,' she contacted her Pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes.

She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what outfit she wanted to be buried in.

Everything was in order and the Pastor was preparing to leave when the young woman suddenly remembered something very important to her.

'There's one more thing,' she said excitedly.

'What's that?' came the Pastor's reply.

'This is very important,' the young woman continued. 'I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand.'

The Pastor stood looking at the young woman, not knowing quite what to say.

That surprises you, doesn't it?' the young woman asked.

'Well, to be honest, I'm puzzled by the request,' said the Pastor.

The young woman explained. 'My grandmother once told me this story, and from that time on I have always tried to pass along its message to those I love and those who are in need of encouragement. In all my years of attending socials and dinners, I always remember that when the dishes of the main course were being cleared, someone would inevitably lean over and say, 'Keep your fork.' It was my favorite part because I knew that something better was coming...like velvety chocolate cake or deep-dish apple pie. Something wonderful, and with substance!'

So, I just want people to see me there in that casket with a fork in my hand and I want them to
wonder 'What's with the fork?' Then I want you to tell them: 'Keep your fork, the best is yet to come.'

The Pastor's eyes welled up with tears of joy as he hugged the young woman good-bye. He knew this would be one of the last times he would see her before her death. But he also knew that the young woman had a better grasp of heaven than he did. She had a better grasp of what heaven would be like than many people twice her age, with twice as much experience and knowledge. She KNEW that something better was coming.

At the funeral people were walking by the young woman's casket andthey saw the cloak she was wearing and the fork placed in her right hand. Over and over, the Pastor heard the question, 'What's with the fork?' And over and over he smiled.

During his message, the Pastor told the 20 people of the conversation he had with the young
woman shortly before she died. He also told them about the fork and about what it symbolized to her. He told the people how he could not stop thinking about the fork and told them that they probably would not be able to stop thinking about it either.

He was right. So the next time you reach down for your fork let it remind you, ever so gently, that the best is yet to come.

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed.
They make you smile and encourage you to succeed .
They lend an ear, they share a word of praise,
and they always want to open their hearts to us.

Show your friends how much you care. Remember to always be there for them, even when you need them more. For you never know when it may be their time to 'Keep your fork.'

Cherish the time you have , and the memories you share ....
being friends with someone is not an
opportunity but a sweet responsibility.

Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND even if it means sending back to the person who sent it to you.

And keep your fork.

Together

Together - Neyo

TOGETHER
by Ne-Yo

Since the day that we met girl
I’ve never had anyone make me feel this way
And my heart is sure it wants to be with you
Want to give you the whole world…ohh
If you make the promise to me, I’m gonna stay
Without you guiding me, I’m lost and so confused

[hook]
What will it take to show you I’ll be by your side
Cause I got you and I want to give you what you never had
Girl everyday I hope to make you part of my life
Cause you know me and I know you
Girl your love is where its at…ohhh

[chorus]
I’m gonna be the love that’s gonna last
And be the one that got your back
And nothing never that bad
That we would be together
And we both made our mistakes
And somethings never wished we made
But we'll be okay if we just stay together

[verse 2]
Oooh…I know he left you stranded
And you paid the price when you messed up your life
Girl I know you’re so afraid but I can’t write the wrongs he did
I know you saw the lipstick on my window
And wonder how many chicks been to my home
I done my share of playing games
But for you I given up that life

[hook]
What will it take to show you I’ll be by your side
Cause I got you and I want to give you what you never had
Girl everyday I hope to make you part of my life
Cause you know me and I know you
Girl your love is where its at…ohhh

(chorus)

[verse 3]
Baby you’re the one I’m waiting for
Because you give me what I need and more
Cause its clear that we are meant to be
Together…together…we should be together
Eternally….Ooohh
And I’m gonna be….

(chorus)

Tell-tale Signs that It’s Love, Love, Love

Got this from my cuz and I just want to share this with you

You’ve got butterflies, good conversation, maybe even great sex, but sometimes it can be difficult to be sure if it’s love. How do you decipher whether the feeling in the pit of your stomach is the nervous quivering of anticipation or yesterday's lunch? “fools in love” are easy to spot. Here are some tell-tale signs that it just be might be love, love, love.
You are best friends. You laugh with them more than anyone else. The feelings of anticipation, passion, and connection are mutual. You remember little things about each other like their favorite foods, the places they want to visit and why, their views on everything from politics to fashion, and what they love about their closest buddies, but is it enough? Take a look at these signs to be sure.

WHAT HE'LL DO:
Put you on his “A” list (pay attention -- You'll know if you're not on it)
Introduce you to his family
Make plans for the future (near and far)
Do things outside of his “box” with you
Share his secrets and his dreams for the future with you
Worry about impressing your friends
Come right over when you ask him to
Try to do things that comfort you or relieve some of your stress (like surprise you with dinner on a night you are working, rub your feet, or ask about your day)
Appreciate and reciprocate your feelings and your actions like giving you a massage after he gets one from you, doing the dishes after dinner, or sending you a gift

WHAT SHE'LL DO:
Share her embarrassing moments and fantasies with you
Little things all throughout the day that let you know she’s thinking about you
Fantasize about her life with you, getting married, having kids, growing old, traveling the world, etc.
Tease you
Hang out with your mother or talk to her on the phone
Appreciate and reciprocate your feelings and your actions, like offering to pay for dinner, getting tickets to a game or event she knows you’ll love, or cooking for you
Ask questions about your life -- past, present, and future
Flirt with you

HOW YOU'LL FEEL:
Excited, yet relaxed
Vulnerable, yet strong
Comfortable enough to be yourself in front of them
Like you want to include them in everything (but you won't desert your usual crowd to be in a relationship with them)
You’ll miss them when they’re not around
You can’t wait to see them, talk to them, play with them, and kiss them
You’ll find yourself wanting to make plans to have them all to yourself
You’ll have urges to do romantic things (maybe on the verge of stalker-like things) that you never thought you’d never do

SIGNS THAT IT'S NOT LOVE:
They blow you off or cancel dates
Talking about commitment makes either of you uneasy or nervous
Either of you are seeing other people
Things are moving too quickly for one of you
You find your partner lacking when compared to other people
You watch a love scene in a movie or hear a love song and you feel a strong longing or desire for what you don’t have

TIPS BEFORE YOU COMMIT:
Take the time to compare who you have with who you know deep down that you desire and deserve. Likewise, compare the relationship you have with the one you know you really want.
Pay attention to how they treat their friends, family, business associates, and strangers. This is a good indication of how they will treat you over time and a big insight into their overall character.
Ask yourself how well you know them and how well they know you.

Mangaholic

Noon anime ang past time ko. Ngayon Anime Manga.

Here's some of my best loved mangas:

Absolute Boyfriend (comedy/love story) - Makes me wonder kung meron nga talagang ideal boyfriend dito sa real world hahaha I'm still waiting for the next Live Episodes of Absolute Boyfriend. Sana may magupload na

You're My Girlfriend (comedy/love story)- Finding love unexpectedly / opposites attract

Fruits Basket - (comedy/love story)

Hatsukoi Limited (comedy/love story)

Ai Hime Ai to Himegoto (drama/romance) The best manga romance novel na nabasa ko. Di ko lang masyadong gusto ang illustrations pero yung story hayy talaga naman super kilig . Unforgettable line "Once you choose me..I will never let you go"

Kiss/Hug -(drama/romance) - On going pa ang pag eedit ng chapter 4 scanlations. I can't wait to read it na hehe (certified addict na talaga)

Till next time..

Over you - Chris Daughtry

Now that it's all said and done,
I can't believe you were the one
To build me up and tear me down,
Like an old abandoned house.
What you said when you left
Just left me cold and out of breath.
I fell too far, was in way too deep.
Guess I let you get the best of me.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

You took a hammer to these walls,
Dragged the memories down the hall,
Packed your bags and walked away.
There was nothing I could say.
And when you slammed the front door shut,
A lot of others opened up,
So did my eyes so I could see
That you never were the best for me.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
Well I'm putting my heart back together,
'Cause I got over you.
Well I got over you.
I got over you.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

Girls Night Out @ Eastwood

Last Saturday, my sister & I together with my two cousins went to Eastwood, Libis to unwind. We went to "BED ROOM" bar and restaurant to dine and drink. So while waiting for our food and drinks to arrive (Oh well, my sister and my cousin ordered their drinks while me and Rose Anne ate most of the food ^_^. ) , I saw a group of people dancing wildly on the dance floor. Their bust-a-move steps were ok. I just couldn't bear looking at them.

I feel so uncomfortable. I felt like I was too old for that place and felt like I'm having "sort" of culture shock?!

"Grinding" moves was ok but not for me.. I think it was too much for me to bear hahaha (I sound like a conservative old maid huh?!)

So we went upstairs, and saw a "couple" who were also dancing. They were grinding.. And again, I can't even bear looking at them.."The crucify me" (as coined by my sister) moves is a little too much hahaha ^0^. The guy dances continuously with the "crucify me" moves.

So off we went to Dencios to drink again. This time we ordered for a pitcher of Blue Margarita.

While drinking, we made fun of the couple doing the crucify moves hehehe.

It was so funny.. My sister would "re-enact" the same moves hahaha ^0^

Right after consuming our Blue Margarita, we went to Starbucks to drink some coffee.

How to handle Romantic Rejection

I got this email from a very friend and I would like to share this with you...

How to Handle Romantic Rejection

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately challenging
Step1
Yeah, it hurts to hear it. The truth is, you'll get over it.

Step2
Realize that this person, no matter how much you like him or her, is not going to reciprocate. You can't make a person love you. And you can drive yourself crazy trying.

Step3
You deserve a partner who respects you and cares about you. You want to feel secure and valuable, right? Remember this.

Step4
At first, you'll experience denial. "It's not really over," you tell yourself. Now tell yourself that it's not your fault. You could have been this or that - but you weren't. Don't dwell on your imagined shortcomings.

Step5
Don't try to get him or her back by making drastic improvements. It won't work. It's too late for that. If you do anything, do it for yourself. Now is the time to be selfish.

Step6
Go to your friends or family - those who accept you and will understand your hurt.

Step7
Take up a hobby or sport. Get your mind off your breakup. Stay busy - this is key.

Step8
You will get depressed. It's normal. You will get angry; this is normal too.

Step9
Decide that you wanted it to be over. Convince yourself of this.

Step10
You might try finding someone else - and some people will suggest this - but it's not very healthy and won't really be fair to the new person. Give yourself time to pull yourself together.

Step11
Don't get obsessive. If you feel that you can't get over it by yourself, get professional help. You don't want to turn into a stalker.

For the one who got away.. this is for you...

Pasubali - Sponge Cola

Kung pwede lang
Wag mo na 'tong iwasan
At 'wag mo ring
Ituring na biro
Marahil 'to'y 'di mo inaasahan
Pero sana'y
'Wag ipinid ang pinto

Itikom ang bibig
Mata'y ibaling sa'kin
Pakinggan mo ang sasabihin ko

[Chorus]
Kailan mo ba matutunan?
Kailan mo ba 'pagsisigawang
'Di mo na 'pagkakailang tayo?
Kay rami nang pinagdaanan
Ano pa ba ang 'yong kailangan?
Nagsusumamo na sabihin mo

Ang diwa ko'y
Tigib sa kaiisip
Sa sarili'y laging
May kinikimkim
Patuloy lamang bang mananaginip?
At mananatili lang na nakapikit?

Ako'y mayro'ng batid
Ito'y iyong pag-amin
Hindi na natin maiiwasan 'to

Kailan mo ba matututtunan
Kailan mo ba pagsisigawan
Di mo na pagkakailang tayo
Kay rami ng pinagdaanan
Ano pa bang iyong kailangan
Nagsusumamo na sabihin mo...

Itikom ang bibig
Mata'y ibaling sa'kin
Pakinggan mo ang sasabihin ko

Naiiintindihan mo ba??

Kailan mo ba matututunan?
Kailan mo ba pagsisigawan?
Di mo na pagkakailang TAYO?
Kay rami ng pinagdaanan
Ano pa bang iyong kailangan
Nagsusumamo na sabihin mo

Nagsusumamo na sabihin mo
Hoh hooh...

I Don't Want You to Go - Kyla

Here I am
Alone and I don't understand
Exactly how it all began
The dream just walked away
I'm holding on
When all but the passion's gone

And from the start
Maybe I was tryin' too hard
It's crazy 'cause it's breakin' my heart
Things can fall apart but I know
That I don't want you to go

And heroes die
When they ignore the cause inside
But they learned from what's left behind
And fight for something else
And so it goes
That we have both learned how to grow

And from the start
Maybe we were tryin' too hard
It's crazy 'cause it's breakin' our hearts
Things can fall apart, but I know
That I don't want you to go

(Oh) it's just too much
Takin' on the whole world all by myself
There's not enough
Unless I start trustin' somebody else
Somebody else and love again

And from the start
Maybe we were tryin' too hard
It's crazy 'cause it's breakin' our hearts
Things can fall apart, but I know
That I don't want you to go, no

Maybe we were tryin' too hard
It's crazy 'cause it's breakin' our hearts
Things can fall apart, but I know
That I don't want you to go

Oooh no, I don't want you to go
Say that you won't go

My Big Love

Last week, my officemates and I watched My Big Love at the Podium (First showing day!).
Unforgettable lines in the movie:
Follow the 5 key steps..
>Set your goal
>Start today
>There are no short cuts
>Motivate yourself
>Be Happy
During the premiere night at SM Megamall Bldg A. we were able to see Sam Milby, Toni Gonzaga and Kristine Hermosa. We were dining at Kenny's that time when we saw a group of people assembled in front of the entrance door all waiting for the main event!
We waited for them to arrive too. Mary Joan and I waved at Sam when he glanced and waved at us. It felt like ... " Oh my gosh, Sam actually waved at us can You believe it?"
That's one experience I will never forget... ~_^

When I'm down I like listening to this song

This is My Now - Jordin Sparks (Winning song for the 2007 American Idol)

There was a time I packed my dreams away.
Living in a shell, hiding from myself.
There was a time when I was so afraid.
I thought I'd reached the end,

But baby that was thenI am made of more than my yesterdays.
This is my now, and I am breathing in the moment.
Because I look aroundI can't believe the love I see.
My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubts
That was then, this is my now.

And I have the courage like never before, yeah.
I've settled for less now I'm ready for more,Ready for more.
This is my now, and I am breathing in the moment.
As I look around I can't believe the love I see.

My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubts.
That was then, this is my now.
I'm living in the momentI look around I can't believe the love I see.
My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubts.
That was then, this is my now. This is my now.

My Dream Phone

Sony Ericsson has come up with another innovation the Sony Ericsson X1 also known as the Sony Ericsson Xperia.
SE X1 is so much better looking than SE P1. I like the interface and the design. For me it looks like the iPhone except for the features and the OS used by the phone :)

Spring Waltz

As I was browsing Youtube, I came across this video inspired by the 4th and last Endless Love series - Spring Waltz. You can find the video here. High five for the author of this video. ^_^

"If you love and miss that person
Then love can come again when you meet again.
Just playing hide and seek
No matter where you hide or even if you can't see it.
It must be waiting at some place for me
Amid the countless chaos
Just like the sincere prayers of love
The people in love will surely
...meet again"
Higher than the sky above you
Clearer than blue
Brighter than the rays of sunshine
Warmer than what you feel
More than all the wonders you see
It's the most wonderful thing
Brighter than the living colors of flowers you see
Sweeter than the touch of water
Flowing from the mountain spring
More than all the wonders you see
It's the most wonderful thing
One love...
I love you so
Love is the beautiful one
I love you so
Love is the beautiful one
All we need is love
Real love
Marvel at the sight of greenfields
Amazingly seenWatch the colors of the rainbow
It's a miracle you see
More than all the wonders can be
But there's more than that
One Love...
I love you so
Love is the beautiful one
Greater than what you can feel
More than what you ever dreamed
This is better than your everything
One love...
I love you so
Love is the beautiful one
All we need is love
One love

Things to do

4 days to go and it will be 2008. A new year... a new beginning...

Here's my top 10 to do list for 2008

10. Get a hobby - I already have a hobby I just have to do it again. It relieves stress I got from work. My hobby - taking care of my plants.

9. Learn to cook - My knowledge in cooking is very limited..hopefully I can get cooking lessons next year.

8. Time Management - I want to enjoy work and enjoy my leisure time at the same time.

6. Strive for self improvement

5. Enjoy life as it is - I've been through a roller coaster ride these past few years. Cried. Laugh. Got my heart broken countless times. But in the end life goes on and will continue to go on... I will live my life like I've never done before so that in the end there will be no regrets...

4. Love myself more..after all I owe it to myself...

3. Hang out with friends. - I miss hanging out with my friends. Maybe in 2008 I could spend more time with them to catch up on the daily buzz of our lives.

2. Travel

1. Go to church every Sunday.. - I always miss church... I hope this coming year I would be able to do it every Sunday not just every Sunday even Wednesdays and Fridays.

Battle of the Planners

I just started collecting stickers for the 2008 Starbucks planner. I need to collect a total of 24 stickers to avail this limited edition planner.

Luckily its their 10th year anniversary so they have this double your sticker promo from 12:30pm to 2pm and 8pm to 9:30pm.

I just got my 8th sticker today at Starbucks SM Megamall Branch.

My current fave for the christmas blends is Praline Mocha. I like the strong taste of coffee mix with chocolate.

After having lunch, my friend and I went to Starbucks Emerald to avail the double sticker promo. ^_^

If we keep on doing this everyday until December 25, I'm pretty sure we'll get the planner right on schedule.

Seattle's Best also released their planner this year so is Jollibee :)
I already gave my first Jollibee planner as a Christmas gift :)
My first planner was a gift from my sister last year its a Michelle Simone Planner..pink cover with heart shaped pendant :)

Re-Shaping my future...

Lately I've been doing some "reality check tests" on myself. I realized that I still need to work on reshaping my future.
I know I'm not getting any younger, therefore I need to make some adjustments on my lifestyle, habits and attitude towards funding for my future.
I listed down my goals in life and opposite my list are the action/s taken to the achieve the goal.
And guess what, I hardly taken any action to achieve it.
I dreamed of owning my own house whether its a condo (in Ortigas, like East of Galleria and Grand Emerald), a townhouse or a house and lot (in South Forbes or in Amanzaya). But I don't have the means to buy it...for now..
As part of my strategy in being able to have the means to buy it... I need to save.. Yes..save a lot of money.
If I could cut down my credit card expenses, I know this would be a great help in achieving my goals ^_^
As a start, I don't bring my credit cards anymore and I try to keep track with my daily expenses. I noticed, I spend a lot of money on food yes food..
Oh well, it's not yet too late to start over again ~_^

Friends with Benefits

We've seen it on TV, heard it on the radio or even talked about it with our friends. But what is friends with benefits?
Friends with benefits is like having a so called bf/gf. You go out on dates without the commitment. A guilt free flirtatious relationship. Sometimes it involves sex. (see http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsPSy1xZuS4Ta5zqpc2kMakjzKIX;_ylv=3?qid=20070627111753AAI05bC).
For others, this is a great idea if you're not yet sure if you want a steady relationship with commitment.
A single person usually gets involve in this type of relationship. But does it work out? Like leading to a more serious relationship. The answer is NO.
Often times, one of them gets emotionally attach to the other person and end up getting hurt.
If you're looking for a commitment, this is not the relationship for you.
You deserve to be in the arms of someone who would treasure and love you.
You deserve to be happy... don't settle for a make believe love/relationship. If he truly loves you he would have made the first move to make your relationship official.
Let go and move on. Its not easy but its for the best...

Undying Fascination on Classic Filipino Movies

I miss blogging...
I really do...Glad I've got the time now for me add up a new entry.
I've got the time just because I'm sick and confined in bed... resting...
Back to my topic, my interest in classic Filipino movies started when I was in elementary. I was sick then confined in bed just like today. I got bored over watching cartoons and noon time shows.
I tuned in to channel 9 that was around 1:00pm. Classic movies of 1950's to 1960's were shown. I was able to watch Gloria Romero's classic film Honey-Haneymunan (I'm not sure of the title). She co starred with her real life husband Juancho Gutierrez.
It's a story about a newly wed couple. Who were just starting out to raise a family. It's a comedy film. The comedic (if there's such a word) tandem of Dolphy and Panchito added a light touch of comedy in the story.
Juancho Gutierrez and Ric Rodrigo were my favorite classic filipino actors. I like their soulful eyes...and their deep romantic voice.
You can feel the emotions of each line in the movie. It sounds so romantic.
Sometimes I wish I could go back in time. I wanted to experience how it is to live in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s
Life then seems so simple..less complicated...and not fast paced like today.
It seems so relaxing...
Fast forward to the 1980's...
My favorite actors at that time were Albert Anido - I love his chinky eyes and moreno looks ^_^, Albert Martinez - I love his sweet - seductive smile, Benedict Aquino - love the boy next door looks, Aga Muchlach and Rowell Santiago.
